Fund Raising
Family did their first annual Fund raising for the neo-natal intensive care unit at Richmond university Hospital on Staten Island. This unit cared for the owner’s son Ronnie Detore when he was born unexpected at 34 weeks. Ronnie was then put on a ventilator, for his breathing and cared for in the unit by the most wonderful nurses and doctors. Being that the owners reside in the hospital area and know the hospital is in dire straits, they decided to give back what they think the hospital deserves. Janine Detore Mother of 7 was devastated when her child was born 6 weeks early and he was put on a machine to save his life, she claims the hospital made her feel comfortable and reassured her that her son would be fine, she feel she needs to do something in return Family carwash will give 20% of their weekend earning to the unit and they also have a donation box at the register at the car wash for the unit.
